Independent Qualified Persons (IQP)

If you own or manage a commercial, industrial, public, communal or multi-unit residential building, you should be familiar with the requirements under the Building Act 2004 for 3-monthly inspections of Mechanical Ventilation or Air Conditioning systems by Independent Qualified Persons.

Ultra Refrigeration & Air Conditioning are IQP registered for SS9 Ventilation and SS9 Air Conditioning sign-offs. We verify the safety and effectiveness of these systems in accordance with the Building Act. Both Mechanical Ventilation and Air Conditioning systems also require regular inspection to verify their performance. We will create a council-compliant maintenance plan document for these systems, or verify your existing plan as an IQP.

Once the inspection is complete, we will produce a signed Form 12A Certificate of Compliance. All completed work will be recorded and made available for council inspection.
